Joe Cunniff is an Art Historian who has taught for decades for both DePaul University and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His popular Art History classes, taught right in front of the paintings, cover art from Greece and Rome through the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Neo-Classical, Romantic, Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, Modern, and Contemporary periods. His classes, talks and tours are very interdisciplinary. He is greatly interested in music and theater, and relates the paintings to those when appropriate. He also teaches classes which introduce people to classical music and to jazz. He is a Certified Member of the Chicago Tour Professionals Association.
