About Paolo
Paolo was already mesmerized with the world of archaeology from his early childhood which led to obtaining a degree and a postgraduate degree in Greek and Roman Archaeology. His passionate devotion to archaeology has been demonstrated not only in his fieldwork experience in Pompeii, Stabiae, and Greece but in his persevere research to become an expertise in construction techniques, mosaics, frescoes as well as in Roman social history leading him to publishing several scientific articles and completing his PhD in Ancient History and Classical Archaeology. His contribution to directing excavations and conservation projects in Pompeii and Stabiae inspired him to write his book on the history, art, and architecture of a Roman villa in the Bay of Naples. He has been a licensed tour guide since 2014. He is based in Rome and displays his genuine commitment to archaeology, the ancient history and architecture with his academic knowledge, enthusiasm, and captivating stories.
